On September 18th, 2023, at approximately 11:03 PM, Bakersfield Police Department Officers were dispatched to Yokuts Park, 4200 Empire Drive, regarding a report of a shooting. Officers located an adult male victim of a shooting who was pronounced deceased at the scene. Bakersfield Police Department detectives responded and are continuing the investigation.
