Ithaca man arrested after allegedly attempting to start multiple fights with a knife

Ithaca Police arrested Alexander Mosher, 33, of Ithaca, following multiple allegations that he was trying to start fights while armed with a knife. Police officers responded to Abbott Lane around 8:14 p.m. on Sunday for reports of a man possibly in possession of a knife. Upon their arrival, police said witnesses informed them the suspect had run into a nearby woods, where responding officers were unable to locate Mosher. That same evening, Ithaca Police Officers were called back to the same location just after 8:45 p.m. for the same call. Mosher, who was reported to be armed with a knife and was attempting to fight others, fled again on foot but was caught and taken into custody.
