Florence police and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting outside the Amazon facility in Florence, according to Boone County dispatchers. One suspect was shot and died. Two deputies who were involved were not hurt, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. Dispatchers tell FOX19 NOW shots were fired at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday on Industrial Road outside Amazon’s delivery station, following an “event” that began nearby around 6:30 a.m. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office confirms this started at Empire Drive and Industrial Road around 6:30 a.m.
