New Bern Police investigate McKinley Ave. shooting

At 11:17 p.m., a 911 call reported a shooting near McKinley Avenue and Charles Street. Police and EMS responded to the scene to find 18-year-old Khalil Grant suffering from a gunshot wound. Grant is a resident of New Bern. He was transported immediately to CarolinaEast Medical center for treatment.
