A UMass Amherst student from Granby was shot and killed in Washington, D.C., where he was working as a congressional intern. The Metropolitan Police Department stated in a news release that at approximately 10:28 p.m. on Monday, officers were called to the 1200 block of 7th Street Northwest for the sound of gunshots.
