One person is dead following what is being described as a disturbance involving an armed suspect in downtown Colorado Springs overnight. The Colorado Springs Police Department confirms the incident is being investigated as an officer-involved shooting. The episode started at 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Pikes Peak and Tejon. The area is lined with several bars and nightclubs and is typically busy at that time on weekends.
