On October 3, 2025, detectives with the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force (ICGTF) arrested a 17-year-old male, 30-year-old Antoine Divine Jr., and 33-year-old Joharie Fields on numerous firearms and narcotics charges, following a tip from the IMPD Nuisance Abatement Unit regarding suspected narcotics activity and possession of a firearm equipped with a machine gun conversion device. Divine was also arrested for an outstanding local felony warrant. During the investigation, ICGTF Detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and arrested the two occupants, Divine and Fields, for unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon(s) and possession of a narcotic. Divine was additionally arrested for an outstanding local felony warrant. While attempting to serve a search warrant on a residence, a juvenile attempted to flee the area on foot while armed with a handgun equipped with a machine gun conversion device. The juvenile was taken into custody and found to be in possession of marijuana and the illegally modified firearm. He was arrested for possession of a machine gun, dangerous possession of a firearm by a minor, dealing marijuana, and resisting law enforcement. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) will ultimately make the final charging decisions. All individuals arrested should be considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. This case was brought as part of the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force (ICGTF). ICGTF is a partnership of law enforcement officers and analysts from several central Indiana law enforcement agencies in Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion, Morgan, Johnson, and Shelby counties. In cooperation with state, local, and federal partners, ICGTF collaborates to address violent crime through a comprehensive strategy including innovative approaches to locating suspects and evidence related to violent crimes and illegal possession of firearms.
