IMPD aggravated assault detectives, with assistance from the US Marshals Task Force, arrested 27-year-old Robert Christian for his alleged involvement in a late September shooting investigation that left three people injured. On Thursday, September 25, 2025, shortly before midnight, IMPD Southeast District officers responded to the 1900 block of Minnesota Street on the report of a person shot. Officers located two adult males inside a home who had been shot. Both victims were transported to an area hospital in stable condition. It was later learned that a third adult male had also been shot and had self-transported to a hospital. IMPD aggravated assault detectives responded to the scene and immediately began canvassing the area for witnesses, video footage, and other evidence. Several cooperative witnesses provided detectives with key information that helped them identify Christian as the suspected shooter in this case. Detectives worked with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO), and on October 6th, an arrest warrant was issued for Christian with the charges of aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon, and residential entry. IMPD detectives with the US Marshals Task Force located Christian less than 48 hours later and took him into custody in Hendricks County where he is currently being held. An arrest and a charge are merely accusations, and Christian should be considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. Case: IP250084614
