Officers responded to fireworks reports at Bregano Park; a severely damaged portable toilet was later discovered. Investigation found a 14-year-old male Yonkers resident had constructed homemade explosive devices and admitted to several other explosions in the area over recent weeks. Materials for manufacturing explosives were recovered from his residence during an April 9 search. Yonkers Police Intelligence Unit, Westchester County Hazardous Devices Unit, and FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force coordinated. Charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree. Westchester County Family Court.
