Charlotte-Mecklenburg police shot and killed a person after a foot chase in the Lincoln Heights area. Officers responded to a 911 call near the intersection of Lasalle Street and Newland Road; a person fled and allegedly drew a gun prompting an officer to fire. The person was transported to a hospital where they died. No officers were injured and a weapon was recovered.
