19-year-old Drequeon Freeman of Rockford was shot around 5 p.m. Friday near Miriam Avenue and Andrews Street on Rockford's west side; he died at a local hospital early Saturday, Oct. 3. Rockford police named 21-year-old Mauri Scott as the suspect and issued a warrant for first-degree murder, armed robbery and aggravated battery; Scott was not in custody. (Fatal shooting.)
