Shots Fired. Complainant advised that someone is shooting close by their residence. Deputy arrived on scene and checked the area UTL. The annual King George Fall Festival will be taking place on Saturday, Oct. 10th. There will be a parade which travels through the courthouse area and will result in a temporary road closure on Rt. 3 between Dahlgren Rd. (Rt 206) and Ridge Rd. (Rt 205). From 10:30 AM to 1 PM, traffic will be detoured. See diagrams for details of the road closure and detour route. Throughout the month of October, you’ll see a splash of color on our uniforms. Deputies donning pink badges and civilian staff with pink pins will be showing their support in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! These badges serve as a visible reminder of our office’s commitment to raising awareness, supporting survivors, honoring the memory of those we have lost, and encouraging early detection. We are proud to stand with our community and the brave victims in their ongoing fight. Scam Alert: A scam is circulating involving the suspect posing as a pastor and contacting potential victims by email in an attempt to obtain money or gift cards. The scammer may use the names of actual pastors to attempt to fool the victim. PLEASE do not give any personal information or money/gifts to anyone without verifying their identity. Use a listed number to contact the church or institution the subject is claiming to represent to verify the legitimacy of the request.
