One man injured in Springfield shooting

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 0-100 block of McKnight Street around 9:05 p.m. Thursday and found evidence of a shooting; a short time later a driver speeding near the St. James Avenue rotary stopped and alerted police to an adult male shooting victim inside the vehicle; the victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
