Trooper injured as driver flees traffic stop in Lowell

A 23-year-old Methuen man struck a Massachusetts State Police trooper with his vehicle while fleeing a traffic stop on Church Street around 9 p.m. Sunday; the trooper sustained minor injuries. A warrant was issued for the suspect on charges including felony assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
